While this can occur in many ways over the course of a particular project, the rezoning process sets the stage for what both the Owner and Consultant envision, and will ultimately be developed. Although sometimes a lengthy process, a rezoning immediately attracts homebuilders and developers alike. From a marketing standpoint, this process can also set one property apart from another.
A current client recently received approval from Horry County Council at second reading to allow the development of 65 single family lots within the International Club off Pickering Drive on 18 acres. The request was to rezone the property from CFA to MRD2 allowing the development of 7,000 sf lots that are more in keeping with the surrounding Murrells Inlet community.
